Jim
is a longtime resident of Oklahoma County and has owned a successful construction
business for the past 12 years. He spent 13 years in the road construction
business working with heavy equipment, paving, asphalt, and concrete.
Jim and his wife of 23 years, Penny, have two children. He is a former
city councilman in Harrah and also serves as a reserve deputy for the
Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office. Jim’s top priorities as County Commissioner would be county road and bridge construction and property tax reforms to help provide property tax relief for all county residents. Jim fully supports the Oklahoma County Budget Board (made up of all 8 elected county officials). Jim firmly believes all county officials should have a say in the budget and he looks forward to working with all county officials to provide our citizens the best and most efficient county operation for their tax dollars. Jim recognizes the outstanding job that Sheriff Whetsel has done in providing law enforcement throughout the county and pledges to provide Sheriff Whetsel with his full support to insure all county residents are safe and secure. |

“If elected, I pledge to provide the best and safest roads in the county and I promise to fight for legislative reforms to reduce property taxes for all our citizens. I don’t have any axes to grind and my only goal is to provide the best services possible for all of our citizens. As a longtime small businessman, I know how to stretch a dollar and I know how to work with people. I look forward to working with all the elected county officials and strongly believe that working together Oklahoma County’s best days are still to come. I respectfully request your support and your vote on November 2nd.” |
